Men of Discernment

On May 15-17, Corazón Ministries hosted its Annual Men’s Retreat, “Men of Discernment,” at Hawley Lake, Arizona. Preparation for the event began a day earlier, as the set-up team with 4 trucks and 4 trailers delivered essential supplies—including food for approximately 900 meals, a portable kitchen, and a large tent—so the men could gather to hear God’s Word. 135 men came from Tucson and across Arizona to enjoy nature, fellowship, meals, friendly competitions, including horseshoe tournaments and a fishing contest, and especially time dedicated to exploring God’s Word and discerning His will.

Corazón Ministries’ hope is for each man to encounter the Lord’s presence through His Creation and the Word, and to understand biblical discernment—growing closer to Christ, whether hearing the Gospel for the first time or deepening existing faith.

 A highlight of the retreat is witnessing fathers and sons grow together in faith, as young men see their fathers earnestly seeking God firsthand. We have also had the privilege of seeing three generations of men attend the retreats over the years, from grandfather, son, to grandson.

One attendee shared that the retreat changed his life and inspired him to join his first Bible Study at Corazón Ministries, seeking to nurture his newfound faith. At Corazón, we remain committed to our mission and eagerly anticipate seeing what God will do in the lives of those touched by this ministry.
