The Board of Directors provides strategic oversight and governance, ensuring Corazón Ministries remains faithful to its mission, values, and long-term vision.
MICHAEL ALAMEDA
President
Mike along with his Wife Claire, were commissioned in 1992 as missionaries to the Tucson Hispanic community. He is the co-founder of Corazon Ministries and has served as Executive Director and board President since 1994. Mike and Claire have been married since 1985 and have three adult children. They are a member of Christ Community church.
CLAIRE ALAMEDA
Vice President
Claire was commissioned as a missionary along with Mike in 1992. She is a co-founder of Corazon Ministries and serves as the director of Women’s Ministries and Communications. Claire is the vice President of the Board of Directors. She holds a degree of Political Science from the University of Arizona. Claire is a member of Christ Community Church.
ED MARLEY
Founding Board Member
A native of Tucson, Ed Marley became a Christian while attending the University of Arizona in 1981. He graduated from the College of Architecture. Married to Janice since 1985, he is the father of two adult children. A founding Board Member since 1994, he serves as a Deacon at Catalina Foothills Church and is a partner in a local architecture firm.
MANUEL CORRAL
Board Member
Manuel has been a Corazón Board Member since 2011 and active team member since 1998. He's been married to Pauline Corral since 1997 and is the father of three adult children. Manuel is a member of Ambassador Church and works for Southwest Gas.
RANDY BRAINARD
Board Member
Randy is married to Julie Brainard and is the father of three adult children. He serves as the Lead Pastor of Hope Community Church and is ordained through the Evangelical Free Church of America. He holds a degree in secondary education (math and physics) from the University of Arizona and is currently pursuing a Master of Divinity at Phoenix Seminary.
CRAIG YOUNG
Treasuer
Craig has served on the Board of Directors since 2018. He is married to Crystal Young and has two adult children. He holds a master’s degree in Environmental Engineering from the University of Arizona and owns Via Firma Environmental Services. He is a member of The Gate Church.
MARIA MEJIAS
Secretary
Maria Mejias is a single mother of three adult children. She holds a BST in Printing Technology from Pittsburg State University in Kansas. After 23 years in the title and escrow industry, she now works at Family Life Academy at Christ Community Church where she is a member.
